UPCOMING …..
25 Oct 2026 – The last day of operation of Hafod Eryri, the summit building. It will not reopen until late April or early May 2027.
26 Oct – 2 Nov 2026 – Trains will only run as far as Clogwyn, which is about ¾ of the way up the Llanberis Path, and a mile from the summit.
2 Nov 2026 – The Sherpa bus service will switch from the current high season timetable to the less intensive winter timetable. Buses from the Park & Ride at Nant Peris will only be hourly, and two-hourly on Sundays. (A winter timetable link will follow, once published.)
2 Nov 2026 – Trains will cease running on the Snowdon Mountain Railway over the winter.
2 Nov 2026 – Parking at Pen y Pass will revert from pre-booking to Pay & Display. This will continue through until Easter.
3 Nov 2026 – Winter ground conditions reports will resume, being published twice weekly (usually on a Tuesday & Friday) until the end of April.

OLDER DATES ….
Sat. 28 March 2026 – The Sherpa bus service switched to the high season summer timetable, with more frequent buses all round the mountain, especially from the Park & Ride (at Nant Peris) to Pen y Pass and Llanberis.
Sat. 25 April 2026 – Hafod Eryri, the summit building, opened daily for the season ). It will be open (weather permitting) until the end of October.
Mon. 4 May 2026 – The Snowdon Mountain Railway resumed running steam trains (Monday to Friday only) in addition to diesel.
Sat. 18 July 2026 – The Snowdon International Race / Ras Yr Wyddfa took place, up and down the Llanberis Path). An hour-long programme is available to watch on S4C catch-up.
