The low season winter service
The low season winter Sherpa bus service runs until 4 April 2025.
The Park & Ride bus (S1)

Over the winter, the route between Llanberis (for the Llanberis Path), Nant Peris (Park & Ride) and Pen y Pass (for the Pyg Track and Miners’ Track) is served by the S1.
The Park & Ride winter timetable
- The S1 bus runs at hourly intervals between Llanberis (at xx:10 past the hour) and Pen y Pass, via the Park & Ride. (This service is 2-hourly on Sundays and bank holidays, running at even-number hours.)
- The first bus leaves the Park & Ride for Pen y Pass at 08:15; the last return bus from Pen y Pass to the Park & Ride leaves at 19:30.
- The first bus leaves the Park & Ride for Llanberis at 07:40 (Mon – Fri only) and at 09:40 at weekends and bank holidays; the last return bus from Llanberis to the Park & Ride leaves at 18:10.
(The bus interchange at Llanberis is across the road from the train station, and about 100m towards the village.)

The S1 service, in addition to linking the Park & Ride to Llanberis and Pen y Pass, also runs on to connect with Caernarfon and Betws y coed.
Other Sherpa services (S2, S3, S4)
Out of season, the S2 service runs between Bangor and Llanberis, serving the Llanberis Path. (If you wish to travel on to the Park & Ride or Pen y Pass, change at Llanberis for the S1.)
Out of season, the S3 service runs between Caernarfon and Beddgelert, serving and linking the Snowdon Ranger Path and Rhyd Ddu Path. (Mon-Sat it is mostly an hourly service; on Sundays and public holidays only 3 buses run.)
Change at Beddgelert for the connecting S4 to Pen y Pass.
The S4 service runs between Porthmadog, Beddgelert and Pen y Pass, serving and linking the Watkin Path, Pig Track and Miners’ Track. (Between Beddgelert and Pen y Pass there are only two buses a day).
Change at Beddgelert for the connecting S3 to Rhyd Ddu and Snowdon Ranger.
