Which is the shortest path up Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa)?
There are 6 main paths up Snowdon, and all of them vary between 3½ and 4½ miles in length.
The shortest by length is the Pyg Track, and this makes it generally the fastest. It is also often chosen for fast ascents because it’s on the ‘convenient’ side of the mountain. The Rhyd Ddu Path is marginally longer, at 3¾ miles, and ascent time is similar, but it is located on the ‘far’ side of the mountain for many.
You can get all the information you need about the paths by clicking on the comparing the paths tab, and then looking at the individual paths in detail.
