There are 6 main paths up Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), all of them different in their own way, namely:
(Crib Goch is not promoted by the National Park Authority as one of the main paths as it is not a direct route to the summit and is quite unsuitable for most, especially those new to mountain walking. Nor is the South Ridge promoted, despite its growing popularity.)
The main menu lists all of these paths individually (or click on the links above), where they are described in detail, together with parking and other facilities.
Separate pages on this website compare their pros and cons and offer suggestions to mix and match paths (it’s well worthwhile going up one path and down another so that you see different parts or sides of the mountain). We also give options for shorter walks on them if you’re not intending on going to the summit.
